YAS! has re-invented youth orchestra from the ground-up. Each group meets for 60 to 75 minutes each week in a chamber music setting. With one or two on a part, every musician matters and students learn the great ensemble skills of listening, accompanying and blending, but also the more soloistic skills of leading, phrasing and establishing style and articulation. Our chamber music approach is considered to be THE BEST type of training for classical instrumentalists, and most musicians do not have the opportunity to experience it until college!
The Emerald Quartet
Youth All Star! provides dozens of free performances for the community throughout the season, and collaborators have included National Geographic, The Town of Davie, Flamingo Gardens, Southwest Ranches, New River Groves, Chris Evert Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic, Galleria Mall, Celebrate the Arts, The City of Weston and many others..
The Sapphire Quartet
The Alexandrite Trio
By YAS! having a smaller group of musicians, each musician can participate nearly the entire hour. Students in other ensembles of 60 or 100 often have to wait for their turn, only to realize they have played just a few minutes in a two hour rehearsal. YAS! musicians play more in one hour than many others do in two or more hours. That leaves more time for dinner, homework and being other things you enjoy. We are also close by! & serve western communities from Parkland to Doral, including Weston, Southwest Ranches, Pembroke Pines, Davie, Cooper City, Miami Gardens, Miramar, Plantation, Sunrise and Coral Springs.
The Brass
Our Senior class of 2023 includes young people who have been accepted and plan to attend M.I.T., Northwestern University, The University of Florida and Ringling School of Design. Another graduated early, and has decided to take a GAP year and serve as manager of YAS!

Youth All Star! students often pursue fields other than music, our recent music major, Miss Sophia, received a full scholarship to the world famous Jacob School of Music at Indiana University-including a full scholarship for a fifth year in Rome! WOW!
The Opal Trio
What makes a Youth All Star? Kindness. Dedication. Excellence. Curiosity. We really believe in our motto-“Excellent Music for Life!”
The Orange Quartet
What about an orchestral experience? Youth All Star! offers its musicians the Fall Festival Orchestra and Spring Festival Orchestra. Because they learn so rapidly due to the chamber music approach, our musicians can prepare a typical orchestral concert of three pieces in two rehearsals. It is a great opportunity to get all our all stars together and perform.

How much does it cost? There are no programs which compare to ours, yet we are about half as much as you might expect to play for a typical program, with discounts for the second and third child from the same family. Money isn’t everything. We believe in investing in people and our community.
