OUR STRING CAMP: The 2023 Weston Music Festival features faculty whom are nationally and internationally recognized string musicians. ALL are established professional performers, successful studio teachers and have earned not only a Bachelor of Music, but often a Master of Music as well!

Faculty Focus # 3, Mei Mei Luo-Violin
Mei Mei Luo is recognized as a virtuoso violinist and is often featured as soloist and/or concertmaster in any professional musical situation in which she performs. Luo has served as the concertmaster for Orchestra Miami, The Miami City Ballet Orchestra in addition to assistant concertmaster of the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra. Mei Mei Luo is the founding first violinist of the celebrated Delray String Quartet, a regular performer with the Palm Beach Chamber Music Festival and violin faculty at Florida Atlantic University.
Ms. Lou earned a Master of Music in Violin performance from the University of Miami-Coral Gables, and a Bachelor of Music from the Shanghai and Shenyang conservatory of music.
Lou has performed the Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn and Bruch violin concertos and recorded Dvorak with the Delray String Quartet on the Poinciana label, Fuchs String Quartet No 5 on Naxos American Classics, Danielpour String Quartet Nos.5-7.and appears on multiple CDs with the Klavier and Harmonia Mundi labels in performances with the Palm Beach Chamber Music Festival.
A native of China, Ms. Luo performed with the prestigious Peking Opera Company at the age of twelve, and later won second prize in the Chinese National Youth Competition.
