The Youth All Star Cellos were out and about in October at Christ Covenant Church, under the direction of YAS! Associate Music Director, Cornelia Brubeck. The group performed three selections as prelude music: “Adagio” from the Emperor Quartet by Haydn, the Basque standout “La Paloma”by Sebastien Iradier and “La Cinquantaine”, by G. Maire! YouthAllStar.Org, “Excellent Music for Life!” features the finest young musicians from throughout Broward and Miami-Dade Counties. Five great musicians, one great experience! Our seven groups are led by some of the most outstanding musicians in South Florida, who are also great teachers: Mei Mei Luo, violin; Dr. Erin Gittelsohn, oboe; Cornelia Brubeck, cello; Richard Hancock, clarinet/saxophone; & Dr. David Brubeck, brass. Groups of 4-9 woodwind, brass and string musicians rehearse the finest chamber music on a weekly basis in a masterclass setting. Youth All Star Cellos is one of our intermediate to early advanced groups.
