The Youth All Star Brass Premiered at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church.   Please enjoy their “Trumpet Voluntary” by Jeremiah Clark as arranged by David Thomas in the first performance of the season.  Conducted by YAS! Music Director, Dr. David William Brubeck, the group also performed “Rondeau” by Jean Joseph Mouret as a prelude in addition to the postlude by Clark.

YouthAllStar.Org, “Excellent Music for Life!” features the finest young musicians from throughout Broward and Miami-Dade Counties.  Five excellent musicians, one great experience!  Our seven groups are led by some of the finest musicians in South Florida, who are also great teachers.  Groups of 4-9 woodwind, brass piano and string musicians rehearse the finest chamber music on a weekly basis in a masterclass setting.

After the performance a man who identified himself as an expert in pipe organ construction and restoration approached the altar in tears, and shared how great the group sounded to him and how much it meant to him to hear that particular piece being played so well by such young musicians.
